I am an experienced psychologist with a private practice in Lancaster. I qualified as a Psychologist in 2008 and over the years I have undergone extensive post-qualification training in a broad range of evidence-based psychological therapies including CBT and EMDR. For fourteen years I worked as an NHS psychologist in community mental health services for adults with severe mental health difficulties, working with complex presentations and managing clinical risk. From 2014 I combined this NHS role with independent practice in South Cumbria and North Lancashire. I now work in full-time private practice based in Lancaster where I work online with clients from all over the UK. I offer expert psychological care drawing from a range of specialist therapies, honed over many years of practice in the NHS and private sector.
In my NHS career, I developed experience of offering therapy for many kinds of problems while working across a range of different NHS services in the North of England. I worked in community mental health teams for working-age adults, acute crisis services, and inpatient psychiatric settings. I developed expertise in working with anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress, complex trauma presentations, eating disorders, major dissociative disorders and psychosis.
I am a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
I am a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
I run my own private practice Wellbeing Psychology based in Lancaster.
